Welcome to a brand new school year!
My name is Ms. Rivera and I am going to be teaching you chemistry this year. I am so excited to have you in my class and I am very much looking forward to being your teacher this year! We are going to have a great year together!
Here I am 🙂
I have always been drawn to science, just like a moth to a flame. That’s why I have a bachelor’s degree in chemistry and tutored General Chemistry and Organic Chemistry all throughout my bachelor’s. I also have a master’s degree in forensic science.
A major reason why I fell in love with chemistry has to do with my 11th grade chemistry teacher. She loved chemistry so much that you could just feel the passion exuding from her pores. She made the class interesting and interactive. She made us think critically. She talked to us, got to know us and helped anyone whenever they needed it. I strive every day to be this kind of teacher because I know that a teacher can make a world of difference in a young person’s life.
Students, we will be spending a lot of time together this year, so I promise each of you that I will treat you with respect, kindness and compassion. I also promise you will have a fantastic educational experience. Not only will we study chemistry, but I will also share with you some life skills that will help you succeed in the years ahead. After all, it is my job as your teacher to help you grow as a learner and as a person of good character.
So, students, I bid you farewell for now. Once again, welcome to my class and I am thrilled to have you all in it!
